ECO Day Out 2011 @ South West

We felt privileged to participate in the ECO Day Out 2011 @ South West Exhibition on 23th January at the hardcourt next to Block 372, Bukit Batok West Avenue 5(Opposite Bukit Gombak MRT station). The Guest-of-Honour for the event was Dr Yaacob Ibrahim(Minister for the Environment and Water Resources), and the Host was Dr Amy Khor(Mayor of South West District and Minister of State, Ministry of the Environment and Water Resources). The area was packed with thousands of participants and visitors. Our booth was set up based on the theme of dengue prevention, through the use of lemongrass, pandan leaves and other natural materials to make mosquito repellents. We were encouraged by the overwhelming response of the visitors visiting our booth, and were happy being able to share our knowledge and products with them. All of us,including our members, teachers and parents(from PSG), had great fun throughout the day!

Happy New Year!

We begin the New Year with a revamp of our Community Garden! It looks even more inviting with additional benches, flower pots and a water pond. The surrounding walls were also painted with beautiful floral patterns, and pillars with delicate nature art. A pleasant place for nature appreciation.
